Grace is the owner of Awakened Yoga Studio and she teaches vinyasa yoga that focuses on strengthening the body to handle all that life brings. Her light-hearted classes are sequenced to help students strengthen and lengthen the parts of their body that get stressed in our modern-day lifestyles. Her down-to-earth style is accessible to all levels.
Sue’s migration to yoga was a natural one after years of dance and other physical activity. She began her yoga studies in 2004 with alignment based Anusara yoga and immediately connected with its heart opening philosophy. She has now broadened her interests to include Functional Movement and Therapeutic postures in her classes along with laughter and lots of fun. She is an E-RYT500 with Yoga Alliance and has owned The Woodlands Yoga Studio since September 2012 and is dedicated to bringing good Hatha yoga to the community.
Brett’s teaching is rooted in the ancient yogic tradition of modulating breath to cultivate mindfulness and expand present moment awareness while on the mat. Moving from and maintaining this connected space we explore expanded ranges of movement and mobility while increasing functional strength with a focus on biomechanics, precise form and anatomy. Brett has been teaching for 5 years and currently teaches weekly public classes at Big Power Yoga, Equinox, and Rice University.
April Ree, a.k.a "Sweet Mama", has found personal meaning through the practice of Kundalini Yoga and embraces a heart-centered focus. She now teaches it to her students to help them maintain balance, awareness, and joy in the physical world.
