Next EventFEATureffffFREE DAY OF YOGCelebrate fall in the beautiful Iskcon of Houston with yoga! The Breakfast Yoga Club unites the community through monthly free yoga events at different locations in the city, inviting a variety of teachers to lead fun, engaging yoga practices with live music. As always, we have an amazing lineup of teachers to lead the practice, and music of sacred sounds will be provided by Iskcon's own Jiv Jago. Yogis are encouraged to bring their mats, build friendships, and enjoy the energy of the outdoors. Breakfast will be served afterwards.
TEACHER LINEUP
Nicole Haagenson

As owner of Aerial Yoga Houston, Nicole has taught hot hatha, vinyasa flow, partner/acro yoga, yoga for athletes and now aerial yoga. While pursuing an M.B.A. in 2011 she completed an aerial yoga certification through the Aerial Aircat program at the Boulder Circus School in Boulder, CO where she learned how to help people strengthen, stretch and fly. Now she’s passionately helping people find their inner acrobat! She supports an environment of respect and compassion in her classes, encouraging diversity and openness to perpetuate the dynamic flow of healing between the mind, spirit and body.
Anna Kapilla-Morris

Anna K. Morris came to yoga kicking and screaming (convinced that she would have to get tattoos and stop shaving her armpits if she did yoga), but a running injury and a stressful lifestyle in NYC finally made her stop and get on the mat. Certified by both the Kripalu organization and Ki Power Vinyasa, the most important thing that she teaches students, is to listen to yourself, move how you want to move, and HAVE FUN!
Carl Salazar

Carl completed his 200 hour yoga teacher training in 2010 with Lex Gillan of the Yoga Institute. His certification came one year after founding Expedition Balance, a Houston-based charity providing healing programs for military Veterans. Soon after, he began teaching yoga asana and leading guided meditations as a volunteer at the VA hospital in Houston. This service led to retreats for Veterans, where yoga and meditation join forces with outdoors recreation and nutrition education to form a wellness program providing coping mechanisms for Veterans suffering the stresses of service. By day, Carl works for the City of Houston, in the Mayor's Office of Veterans Affairs. He is a Navy Veteran.
Madonna McManus

Madonna started practicing yoga in 2006 and completed two 200hr teacher trainings in 2011 and 2012. She has since trained with and has been inspired by Ana Forrest, Les Leventhal, David Magone, & Baron Baptiste. She loves to incorporate multiple lineages of yoga in designing a creative, challenging, and inspiring vinyasa class with an emphasis on breath and mind-body-soul connection. She intends in her teaching to get you fascinated with and awakened to the remarkable inner workings of your greatest and highest self. Off the mat, she is working towards a Ph.D in Cancer Biology and Experimental Therapeutics. Madonna believes that every passing moment is an extraordinary opportunity to learn, connect, and love.
