Featured Organization
We will be featuring the American Lung Association as our November charity. One of our teachers for November has been very involved with ALA. . . including sitting on the committee in 2005 that helped ban smoking in restaurants. Lung cancer is one of the most common causes of cancer death and there is still so little funding for research in comparison to other cancers and diseases. Other rampant lung diseases include asthma, emphysema and bronchitis. These diseases are not only caused by smoking and second hand smoke, but by the air we breathe and the environments in which we find ourselves, whether it is due to lifelong work environment or location of every day living. Please help us support ALA with a donation.
